西安理工大学现代分析测试中心是按照陕西省发改委和教育厅的统一规划建设的校直属科研 、教学和实验基地。
中心拥有1000余平方米的恒温恒湿实验室，价值2500余万元的进口大、中型精密仪器与设备，这些设备代表了当代分析测试仪器的国际先进水平。主要仪器如冷场/热场发射扫描电子显微镜（各一台），AXIS ULTRA型X射线光电子能谱仪（XPS），JEM-3010型高分辨透射电子显微镜，综合物性测量系统(PPMS),普通/高分辨X射线衍射仪（各一台）等，在我国西部地区同类仪器设备中都是性能较高、功能较全的，使该中心成为西北地区乃至全国高校测试分析仪器种类比较齐全、技术非常先进的科研、教学和实验基地之一。
中心以全心全意为学校的教学、科研提供一流服务为宗旨，以提高学校科学研究、学科建设和人才培养水平为目标，为全校师生开展科学研究提供重要的技术支撑。同时，充分发挥大型仪器资源共享的作用，面向社会开展广泛的学术交流与合作，为企事业单位培训分析测试人才,提供技术咨询、产品鉴定、失效分析和委托研究等服务，以科学、可靠、准确的检测手段，为地方经济建设和科学技术水平的提高贡献力量。
Advanced Material Analysis and Test Center (AMATC) run by Xi’an University of Technology is a public research and education base, which was founded in 2004 according to the government planning of ShaanxiProvince.
At present, AMATC occupies more than 800m2 and equipped by some advanced instruments, such as AXIS ULTRAX-Ray Photoelectron Spectrometer /Auger Electron Spectrometer made in UK and JEM-3010 High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope made in Japan, which are the most advanced in the Western China. AMATC is one of the most advanced analysis and test centers among the universities in the Western China even in China.
Aimed at raising the university’s academic level, the basic tenet of AMATC is providing prime service for all teachers and students and technical supports for education and research all by heart and soul. In order to enable the advanced instruments play their parts to the full, AMATC would like to share its technical resources and open for all researchers from all over the world. To promote the academic exchange and cooperation with other institutions, AMATC would also like to provide training program for the analysis and test talents in enterprises and institutions, consultation on technologies, product identifications, failure analysis and other devolved work.
AMATC devotes itself to the local economy constructions, sciences and technologies by its advanced, reliable and precise test means.
